We live in Edmond and have so for 4 years and love it! It has the safe feel we wanted, the clean kept areas and all your needs can be met within a few miles. Many various scaled neighborhoods to chose from too.

We might be heading to Edmond ourselves here in a month or two. We have family living there and was able to vacation there last summer. We liked Edmond very much, but did have people telling us not to move there as that's where the snobs live..I just laughed! I've dealth with dirtbag neighbors for years, let me be the problem for a change..LOL

I also heard that Mustang was nice, but was told to stay out of Moore..Only because those tornadoes went thorough there. I guess Edmond won't let them within the city limits..:>)

All kidding aside, the thought of the tornadoes frightens me. I live in So. Cal and have lived with earthquakes my whole life. But you can't see them coming like you can a tornado. I guess I would put in a storm cellar ASAP if I lived there.

Good luck in your move and let the board know how you like it once you get there..

Just move in November then you won't have to worry about them for probably 5 months

You all make me laugh, see most people in OK are friendly. I live in El Paso and we don't have any earthquakes or tornadoes here so I am a little (okay, a lot) scared of tornadoes. (did you just see Desperate Housewives??) I know TV is far fetched. Most of the posts from people do seem reassuring. My husband also wants to put in a safe room. I just want to know we are making the right decision. I would like my kids to be in a safe environment just like any parent. We have lived in El Paso for 11 years.

Twisters are not as scary and destructive as the fires in Cali. I only wish the best for the thousands that lost their homes and everything.

I agree with you "Happytown". My prayers are with the people who have lost everything.
