I would say Norman has a lot more character than Edmond. Historic campus corner and OU. Many historic neighborhoods. Huge old trees line many of the streets which make for a prettier area. Culture is far greater in Norman with all the highly respected museums, art galleries and many outside performances(things to do). The architecture is far greater in every way, especially along main street which has a beautiful train stop for the flyer and running path. People can get around town on bike.
The west side of town reminds me of Edmond, but nicer because of the newly developed North park with its impressive hotel.
Edmond does have some nice gated communities with rolling hills on its east side. It has UCO, but culture/history/current development doesnt really compare to what is happening in Norman. I am not taking away from Edmond which is a nice town, but it just isnt sophisticated or in the realm of Norman.
