There are so many housing developments I can't keep track of them all. I don't know that there are named neighborhoods. People usually identify where they live by housing development, like Coffee Creek, Steeplechase, etc. Some of them have neighborhood associations with covenants and dues and assessments, so you want to check on that.

Some of them have golf courses, ex. Fairfax, Coffee Creek, and Oak Tree. Those are pretty expensive and the dues are high. Some have swimming pools and most people like those if they have kids. Some just have greenbelt areas with ponds and walking areas.

Have you googled Edmond, OK, and looked at the map? The areas east of Broadway would be east Edmond. I like all these areas east of Broadway and west of I-35 but most are not new. These are convenient to local shopping but no really big malls.

East of I-35 is more rural in feel but you are still in Edmond. This area is being rapidly built and will lose some of that in the future, probably. The section roads are 2 lane now but in time will become busier and will probably have to be widened in the future. These newer developments have pretty homes with big lots and some have large (for us) mature trees and small lakes etc. I think the zip code for all east Edmond is 73034 if you want to look at realtor.com.

West Edmond is nice too and my kids live in that area. The flatness bothers me though, but it doesn't bother them. They said they thought they got more house for their money there, and they both like being close to Quail Springs Mall.

Hope this helps.

There are some neighborhoods in Edmond, that feel like you are in the country! Some of the neighborhoods have dirt roads to get to them and lots of trees & privacy! Guthrie is right North of Edmond and has the small country town feel as well.
Good luck!

We live in West Edmond just North of Quail Springs Mall. Very clean area, practically all new homes, very close to all stores and eating establishments...there is just a lack of large, mature trees. I would say housing this way is more affordable compared to the "old Edmonites" aka old money area of East Edmond. I can provide names of some housing neighborhoods if you are interested. What is your range and I can be more specific.

Right now my price range is pretty flexible so if you wouldn't mind providing me with some housing neighborhoods I would greatly appreciate it! The area you described sounds exactly like what we are looking for.
