Default Ugliest building getting facelift.

There are definitely two very ugly buildings in downtown OKC. Both have this horrible no windows design. I have always wondered what OKC people in the early 70s were thinking. Blow up beauty then make ugly.???

Well, finally one of them is getting some kind of major upgrade...Hopefully it will result in a new facade which seems to be the most recent trend in OKC(Thank God).

I can't see that that style of architecture (giant rectangles only) of the 70s and 80s will ever be looked at with nostalgia. Total lack of imagination.

It's the one in the middle of this pic right? It's not hideous, but a little makeover will be great!

Concur. Its called International architecture. But most cities have rectangle shapes for their buildings! But that one should probably be imploded. LOL. We can only wish for the best in the new facade.
Looks like Devon has some plans for a new skyscraper! Hopefully it will deviate from the typical rectangle form. I have seen some possible renderings...They look impressive with some curves and a futuristic design. More than likely (if built) it will be significantly higher than any other building in OKC. Like 50 -60 stories.

Ya- Synopsis. Its freakin ugly along with that striped buiding to the left(hides an old gem that is never lit up). OKC doesnt even need those buildings to have an impressive skyline. In fact the building were discussing is hiding an incredible twin tower masterpiece called Leadership Square. Bad planning IMO.

2010grad will become famous soon enough2010grad will become famous soon enough
I actually dont think the building in ? is ugly at all. Not near as attractive as the other towers but its not ugly. I like it. I just dont like that they put the elevator shaft on one side of the building....Thats really the only thing bad about it, all tho it is one whole side of the building!

But i think the really ugly building that needs help is the at&t builfing! ITS SO UGLY I HATE IT!!!!! AHHHH. They need to tear down that whole facade and do something modern ala the new Carnegie Centre...
