If I didn't have to have all these animals and outdoor stuff, I would want to live in those Brownstone apartments. I would have a little dog and go for many walks.

I wonder what the rent is in that area. Anybody have any idea? It would be a cool place to live, if you didn't have large dogs.

That's a great pic! It does a real good job of disguising how pathetic and old our skyline is for a city our size. One of the best angles I've seen. |

I only lived in OKC for one year but I was in and out of there a lot in the 70's & 80's when I was in the trucking business. The people there are fantastic. I have a lot of fond memories of OKC and I plan on visiting more often when I am fully retired.

Nameless...OKC doesnt have a pathetic, weak skyline. I have witnessed many large cities with almost no skyline at all! Old buildings are good...OKC has the two oldest tallest skyscrapers in Oklahoma. First National is an art deco masterpiece. Downtown is in a valley and it is difficult to get a good pic of the skyline from many angles. Devon is expected to build a new skyscraper...Im sure that will liven things up a bit.
We could have this as a skyline...
Albuquerque..V pop is almost 500,000

OkC's skyline is nice and I love the First National building, it's an icon for OkC. Take a look at San Antonio's skyline; and it's twice the size of OkC but not very impressieve (this isn't a dis on SA, I like the city).
Like you HT, I love the old skyscrapers - they add character:

On the other hand, Tulsa has the states tallest. Maybe I was a bit harsh in saying it's pathetic. But, there are many similarly (even smaller) sized cities that look better (to me at least). A few that jump off the top of my head are Indianapolis, Kansas City, Des Moines and Louisville.
Don't forget, our metro "trumps" Albuquerque. They just have a higher city population that metro population.
