Man, that is a REALLY beautiful park. How come I've never heard of it before? It's almost perfect.

OKC is so spread out that people miss a lot of things. This park goes back to 1921. I havent been there in a long time. It also has a Conservatory and a arboretum (whatever the heck that is)
"The gardens include the Ed Lycan Conservatory, which houses one of the largest cacti and succulent collections in the world. Inside the garden walls, visitors are surrounded by thousands of roses, irises, azaleas, daylilies and peonies.
While you're at the park, don't forget to visit the arboretum, which features both native trees and special varieties rarely found in Oklahoma. Self-guided tour brochures are available in the Garden Exhibition Center and Ed Lycan Conservatory".

I really want to visit that other exhibit, the one that is a microcosm of the entire state. I can't recall the name of it, but it may be in the Oklahoma Sciences Center or something like that. It supposedly has the entire state and all of the ecoregions represented, replete with land features, flora, fauna, and all of that stuff. Really impressive if you ask me.

Will Rogers Park is definitely on my list of things to visit the next time I visit OkC. It's beautiful.

Those pics are excellent. Looks like late April/early May. Trees are fully leafed out.

I've always said April is beautiful here because it has the best weather plus my birthday is the 14th
