Cell Companies
I was wondering for some insight from everyone as to what cell phone company you use and if you are happy with thier coverage, customer service, etc? We had sprint a few years back and have also had Tmobile before, but it is hard to tell who gets the best reception in an area without asking around!

I use AT&T and so far am pretty happy with it. I have a total of 6 cells that I am paying for, including an air card for the computer. Except in rural areas (The area south of Drumright and north of Stroud is bad) I get pretty good coverage....enough so that I got rid of my land line three years ago.

I use Sprint
I use Sprint in and live in the metro area and never have any problems with coverage or dropped calls and the data speed is better than any of the other carrriers here. Maybe it helps that they have a large tech support call center here

I have AT&T (used to be cingular) and although I live in Texas I travel up to OkC and never have a dropped call. I think AT&T has the most coverage in Oklahoma (not sure, but here's a map). They also have rollover minutes, which are great.

I have t-mobile and have never had any problems when it. I have never really talked to any one in the Edmond/ North OKC that was really too happy with sprint. A Lot of complaints about service going in and out.Which doesn't even make sense since that sprint call center is off of NW expressway. My dad has AT&T and he drives all over OK and never loses service.

The only T-Mobile dead spot in the entire city is right at my office. Otherwise, they've got the city pretty well covered.

Since you mentioned customer service, AT&T and Sprint usually round out the bottom of the list in that category according to most independent surveys such as JD Powers and Consumer Reports, while T-Mobile, alltel, and US Cellular often fare very well. But AT&T and Alltel have the best airwaves in the city for coverage and theoretically should be the best (a lower frequency broadcast which penetrates indoors better). I would be willing to wager, since you're most recently Sprint customer (if I read your post right), if you tried Alltel or AT&T, you would then swear by the coverage of your new provider, whichever one you chose. Perhaps a 30 day trial period with both providers, to see if either has an advantage in your exact location would be the best answer?
You may want to check out the plan offerings from Alltel and US Cellular. US Cellular is usually a very coverage-oriented provider and has free-incoming calls on many individual plans (though its often lost on family plans). Alltel is also a very coverage-oriented provider also has My Circle on most plans. Depending on your calling habits, either alltel or USCC would probably work out to be the best deal for you. IMHO, you may want to shop for the best plan because Oklahoma City isn't a rural area and nobody should have poor coverage. Unlimited calling, either to any 10 numbers incoming or outgoing (alltel individual or family plans) or unlimited incoming calls (USCC individual plans), is a better deal than Rollover. Also, if you're a data user, alltel and Sprint are currently the only providers in the Oklahoma City area to offer high-speed EVDO data.

I have AT&T (formerly Cingular), and even though it's a NJ phone number, while we're here in OKC it's been working fine.

sprint is the one
of course that is just my opinion but i've had sprint for years and can honestly say that the only time i've had a dropped call is when i walked into an elevator and one of the hospitals. Their service is remarkable. and the new wireless cards they have for internet anywhere has actually made me money. I don't know about the rest of the world but at the sprint call center here in okc the focus is always on the comfort and satisfaction of the customer, and whatever the problem or the reason for someone calling in you can bet that some kind of action will be taken by someone to resolve any issue the customer is having and to have it resolved the first time the customer calls in.
Yes, i've worked at the call center here and even though i cant go back to work there ( something about " job abandonment" or something? ) They are the absolute BEST!
DOIT!!!

I have AT&T and in the rural areas around Grand Lake in NE Oklahoma the coverage is pathetic. But, I doubt if any other cell phone service would be much better.
