Default Moving to OKC needing info on apartments

I am moving to OKC in July. I need to be in nw okc/ edmond area. I am having trouble finding apartments that are in a nice area and allow big dogs. I have a 6 year old arthritic boxer and I can not leave her behind. The apartments I have found have generally had a no bulldog breeds stipulation. I am a young single female and would prefer to live somewhere safe so I can feel safe while walking my dog. Does anyone know anything about lakeside village? I will be in the city this weekend to check out places. This one and Village at Stratford seem to be the only two I can find that allow big dogs. My budget is max of $550. I only need an one bedroom apartment. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance....

The Village at Stratford looks like it is more conveniently located for commuting, but I would prefer the Lakeside Village area even though the traffic on NW Highway can be slow.

As another young female, I'd keep looking if I were you.

Have you tried Apartments.com? According to it, try these.

Hunters Ridge (off NW Expwy)
Bluff Creek (near Lake Hefner & walking trails)
Crosswinds/Cove (off 63rd & May)

Good luck!

Sycamore Farm Apts. are at Penn & NW 149th...which is in a nice area. I've seen a large dog that used to be kept by someone who lived there. He'd often hang out on the porch and I would see him as I drove by. He was bigger than a boxer. Not sure what the price range is there but it is a great location. Everything you need is within a 3 mile radius. Hope this helps.
