Yes, but some years aren't so bad.

Yes I was just speaking off of the top of my head " quoting " some misinformation that I heard in the past. What I really meant was that OKC has a lot of the stronger F4's and F5's. I have been in Twisters , Hurricanes and Earthquakes , and Hurricanes are by far the most dangerous of the three.

Your right again friend, I bet the drug problems in Ohio have killed more folks last year than all who ever died in tornadoes in all of Oklahoma history. I'm too lazy tonight to do the research, someone should look it up.

Houston flooded not Texas. The reservoirs built to store heavy rain fall was not able to handle 50 inches in one storm over a short period, so water had to be released at record rates while the rain was already filing up bayous etc.

Moral of story? Yes mother nature is bigger than Texas ...

Beaumont to Corpus isn't just Houston. My ex-brother in law JUST recovered from Ike last year. I'm out of here Jan 1. Been through Frederic (aboard the USS Christobal) /Katrina/Rita/Ike/ and now Harvey. Amongst a few smaller ones in between. I was seriously looking at OKC but after reading these posts... Maybe not. Thanks to all who contributed to this thread. Much respect.

Well if you scratch Oklahoma City off of your list give Tulsa Oklahoma a try.

Yeah, the tornadoes in Tulsa aren't as bad or as often.
