Edmond is a nice place to live and is expanding west extremely fast. I live as far north as you can and still be considered Edmond. Edmond schools are good, but most of the new neighborhoods are in the Deer Creek school district which is growing quite rapidly as a result. By the numbers Deer Creek may be a slightly better school district than Edmond.

The neighborhoods you have looked at shouldnt have a problem but far west Edmond/south Deer Creek/ NW OKC is in a flood plain...and will cause you major headache this time of year. Infact due to the rain yesterday my normal 40 min drive home took twice as long due to all the closed/flooded roads.
