Seeking Information/Opinions about Midwest City, OK.
Anyone out there with viewpoints about Midwest City? I know it's where the Air Force base is located, but I have done searches on both the general Oklahoma forum and the Oklahoma City forum and can't seem to find much about living in Midwest City. It is one of the areas we may be interested in - I may have a potential job opportunity in the Towne Center there, and my daughter is interested in possibly attending Rose College. Thanks for any info/feedback about the area, and the college!

I have to leave the house now so I don't have time to write much. Look at the city-data page for Midwest City, OK and read the thread "Transfering (sic) to Tinker," for some info about the area.
I'll try to get back to you later.

Midwest City is nicer than it used to be. There are new stores there and new home have been built.

Back again. If you haven't already done so, go to the Oklahoma forum page and search for "Transfering to Tinker AFB". There's a lot of good advice about eastern Oklahoma County and Midwest City. If you look in MWC itself, be sure to stay on the east side - east of Douglas Blvd where the newer developments are. It's pretty easy to get to the Towne Center from anywhere east of town.
I can't tell you anything about the college. I took a couple of night classes there but it's been a long time. Heck, I've been around so long, I still call the place "Oscar Rose"...its original name.

Maybe this thread would get better responses from the OKC sub-forum.

Thanks, RB.
Montanamom, you might check out the surrounding communities like Choctaw, Nicoma Park, Harrah. All are within easy driving distance of Midwest City.
Some of my daughter's classmates from Harrah went to Rose State. I always heard good things about it.
