Default moving to ok. city, need advice on area and renting...

Could I get some friendly advice from some of you good people in the Ok. City area? My husband and I will be moving to your city in June and we
will need RENTAL house, no apt.'s as we have doggies! It will be just the
two of us, early 50's, and his job contract he has will keep us in Ok. City
for a year, maybe two. Would like a neighborhood that is kid-friendly as our
grandchildren will visit time to time(close to parks, etc.) The only city that
has mentioned to us at all is Mustang? and Yukon? Can I get some info. on
these places as well as other's? Looking forward to the move, will be on
here some more as I am sure I will have more questions so thank all of you
in advance for your help! I really NEED some good advice!!

What part of the city will he be working in? OKC is rather sprawling, so knowing a location would help with feedback.

Yukon and Mustang are very kid-friendly. We have been in Yukon for almost two years and like the Yukon/Mustang area. If your husband is working in OKC, the drive from here isn't bad at all. As far as rental homes, it may be a little difficult finding one without being here. Many are listed in The Oklahoman newpaper. You will find a few listed on the internet. Do a search using google or yahoo (whatever you prefer) using different search phrases like "mustang oklahoma rental homes" or even "oklahoma city rental homes" and it should give you some good links.

Hope that helps a little.

Here I am Cali!

Mustang is a great town. We've been here for about 6 weeks now and love it. My 16 year old daughter is at Mustang High School and has made many new friends already. The town is small, but large enough that you don't feel "crowded." We've found great stores, restaurants and even a wonderful new doctor. There's a great community center with activities, classes and a summer pool.

I'm not familiar with the rentals here, but if you find something, I'm sure you will be very happy in Mustang.

OK, Cali -- did I do good?

thanks for all the replys, my husband will be working at the Air Traffic Controller school. He wants a 10-15-maybe 20 minute drive each day,
not much more than that though, it is so hard to try and find something
on the internet whichout really seeing it in person, you know? We may
try and take the next 2 weekends to come and look in the Mustang and
Yukon area. How will we go about getting some addresses with person's
name renting it and when it can be shown to us and all that???!!!! we
will need to have our ducks in a row when we do come out, need to find
something in the next couple fo weeks, do any of you on here know who
to put us in contact with? this is RENTAL we are not looking to buy.
Thanks for any and all of your help!!!
