This was hilarious to me : "blizzards often descending on the city."

OKC gets through most winters without a real blizzard happening. They sure got it wrong about the storm season lasting thru August, since it starts winding down by mid to late June. It was very nice of them, though, to not mention how hellishly hot it gets in Oklahoma City in July and August. But the statements made are so outlandishly wrong, the whole thing on OKC ought to be removed. If it should be replaced by an American city, then New Orleans might do.

OKC is a waste of time and effort.......the canal is disgustingly designed particularly that terrace at Toby Keith's where country music is being played all the time; myriad gardens is a jungle full of snakes, tarantulas, and scorpions; Bricktown's micro breweries have flat tasteless beer; Cattleman's Steakhouse serves lamb fries for cryin out loud; the Cowboy Hall of Fame is run down and boring; you can set your watch by the tornadoes.....every day at 2:00 AM one whistles down Reno on its way to Tulsa; ice storms hit in November and last till late March.......now we are going to have to put up with the Sonics........I don't see why anyone anywhere would want to visit, let alone move here.
Not to worry GP, a short time ago the article was still on the website.

I like GP's idea. Let them believe that garbage, it'll keep the rif raf out of a fine, up and coming city.

I'll second that, Oklahoma sucks! People from California thinking of moving to OK, don't do it. You will not like it, there's no Disneyland, Legoland, Sea World, Universal Studios, or beach. There are numerous trucks everywhere and BMWs aren't every other car. So, people from California, stay away you won't like the weather. There's hail coming down the size of cannonballs. It looks like the scence in Glory when they're making run on the beach to the bunker on the hill.

It's still there, but I rather like it that way.

GP, you could copy and paste your post into Askmen's blog. You could also say that the theme from Deliverance is the state song.

YOU WOULD DO WELL TO HEED HIS WORDS!
(At least that's what I plan to tell my in-laws.)

GP, you are exactly right. "People of faith and charity and compassion" are the people that Oklahoma needs, and every other state as well.
