Hi all!
My husband, toddler and I are going to be visiting Edmond in two weeks to take a look around. (We're seriously considering a move to the area because of a great job opportunity that's just popped up.) We'll be in town for two full days and two half travel days. I need to find a hotel or motel that offers a separate sleeping quarters so that when the baby goes down for a nap or the evening, my hubby and I don't have to turn out every light in the place and stay silent. In the past, we've relied on Residence Inn by Marriott types of places, since they offer a bedroom with a door I can close. But, I wasn't sure what other options might be available for us? Are there good options in Edmond itself or should we choose a hotel/motel in OKC? We're not necessarily on a super tight budget, but I don't want to spend too much more than $130 on a hotel room per night. Thanks for your help! Last edited by mom2one; 05-07-2008 at 11:18 AM.. |

I don't recall a Residence Inn but there is a Fairfield and a Hampton and I think a Holiday Inn Express. Depends upon the area you are checking, too. I'd go to one of the maps search programs and use the find businesses function. I also usually stay with Marriott.

I think the Holiday Inn on East Second near I-35 has suites, so the baby can sleep.

Thanks for the input! If we do choose to stay in downtown OKC, how long of a drive can we expect to Edmond?

We just did this tip a couple of weeks ago and stayed at the Marriott Spring Hills Suites on Memorial just outside of Edmond in OKC. It was very convenient to look around. I think there is also a Fairfield down the road. There were restaurants next door and the mall down the street with more restaurants close by. Overall, a pretty good location for us. We had a toddler with us as well and so wanted at least a microwave and fridge. The hotel also had a free breakfast each morning, which was ok. Good luck on your trip.

Depends on the time of day and where in Edmond but typically 15-20 minutes.
