LOL that is why they are low crime! Okc is for the less educated and low class, high crime and drugs. Look at the statistics and compare. Stats about all US cities - real estate, relocation info, house prices, home value estimator, recent sales, maps, race, income, photos, education, crime, weather, houses, and more this is where you can look at the crime and how many people of certain nationallities are in that city.

well according to another poster on another thread, what you really have to worry about in Oklahoma is racism, not crime or drugs.

seriously though, there is no way you can entirely protect your children from exposure to drugs or alcohol or violence. It happens everywhere and I'd say it happens more in private schools than in public schools.
We had a big drug problem where I went to high school, but I never got involved in it thanks to my parents, family, and my good choice in friends.

Anyway, no matter where you choose, always be a concerned parent.

also no it is not hard. It cost more to live in those cities. But like I said less crime! No gangs! All you have to do is just pick a house and pay the money and live there and decide u want to be better than the others and follow the law. Don't speed, <----- the cops will pull you over if you breath wrong! LOL But hey guess what! I don't speed anymore. So if you know you will quickly get into trouble if you screw up then you are less likely to screw up! Don't you think??

Also check out the schools here ---->School Statistics look at the population. If you want your kid to go to a school with less gangs then check the nationalities of the school. The more black & mexican kids the more chance of drugs and violence and gangs. And people. NOO I am not prejudice. But tell me it's not true? It is too bad that it is like that but it is. You want to go to a school where there are mostly white kids. Then your kid is less likely to get into drugs and crime. That is just the way it is.

I'd never heard of New Horizons, but I looked them up online and see that they are located just north of the turnpike, in the general area of Quail Springs mall. Some more information on what you are looking for would help. Are you looking to rent or buy? House or apartment? Budget? There's lots of housing in that part of town, both single family homes and apartment complexes. The schools in that part of town are good. Most of that area goes to either Edmond or Deer Creek schools, both of which are very good. Deer Creek is a bit more rural, but if you're looking for apartments, I'm not sure there are many in their attendance zone. You could also look further west, towards Mustang, Piedmont or Yukon. They are all more rural, but would still not be a bad drive to the Quail Springs area. Or you could go north of Edmond, up towards Guthrie. It's more rural but still an easy drive to the Edmond area. Really there are lots of areas near Edmond/north OKC, which would be more rural than living in Edmond or OKC if that is what you are looking for. Much of it just depends on your budget.

I can't help you with info on hospices. I've seen several advertised, but I have no knowledge of any of them.

Great timing with this foolish diatribe....................

Being that Edmond was ranked the number one suburban city in the entire USofA.
