Lease terms are always negotiable.

The difference is, I am NOT from Oklahoma City. The difference is small, I know, but to me it is vital.

Which is what we are talking about, right? My business, your business, personal preferences? Not sure what you mean by "hick" now that I think about it, but I would rather be considered a hick than a yuppie or any other urban or suburban epithet.

Beats being smug about being a city dweller.

Where I am from they do. Considering the number of people I am selling rural land to, there are lots of folk that are seeking that lifestyle.

Humm. Let me see. Over one million "city dwelers," vs. about 1/4 of that in the Oklahoma City viewing area who are rural? No... I stand by what I said.

Stand anywhere you like, but you are covering one heck of a lot of hicks in that bracket.....only about 45% or so are in OKC........

Find a broadcasting map of OKLAHOMA CITY! NOT THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA!!! Then you will know what I mean.

The support will come from people attending the games and not emotional support. It will be the biggest show in the state on a permanent basis....There will be plenty of emotional support in a city of over 500,000. (anyway I bet that emotional support will work its way into many homes across the state in due time)
On another note....Comparing the 'Outlaws'/USFL to the OKC/NBA is a joke. The outlaws lasted for one season and the USFL lasted three years. Yeah, some big time players came out of the league to play for the NFL, but no one cares. The only major leagues that are recognized as the 'major leagues' consist of the NFL, MLB, NBA,......NHL. Especially the big three. Always have and always will.

I hope they are called the Marshalls or Barons- I hate names such as Thunder, Rain, Wind- etc. They are a baskeball team not a MLS soccer team.
I'm suprised Mustangs wasn't a finalist name.

Has anyone tried to register on this new Oklahoma City Thunder forum? I did and never got the activation email... And I registered under two names with two entirely different emails.
While I'm at it. Not a THING wrong with Thunder. It's better than the hick names that will cause nothing but Oklahoma City to be the fodder for jokes. This is our chance to prove to the world that Oklahoma City is not a hickville.
Here's a starter site I found. It must be really new. Only one member so far. http://nbaoklahomacity.yuku.com/

For me, Thunder just conjures up pictures of those T-shirts with dancing, white stallions in the foreground with lightening in the background, or a kitschy country song.
