A new Sprouts just opened in northwest OKC at MacArthur and 122nd, joining three other locations in the metro (and another opening soon in Yukon). Natural Grocers plans to open in Uptown, with five other stores already open. Trader Joe's opens soon in Nichols Hills Plaza. Winco Foods plans to open four stores in the metro. There's Whole Foods at Classen Curve (and, I believe, a second location for the southside being looked into), GreenAcres Market on the southside, two Uptown Grocery locations, eight Crest Fresh Markets, nine Aldi stores, and twelve Homeland stores. Though I wish the grocery nearest me, Homeland at 18th and Classen, would be given some love because it's quite dated.

Yesterday's trip to Mustang's farmers market. It got raving reviews about abundance of local produce and shoppers flocking to it. Hours are 8:00-12:00. At 8:30 eggs were sold out at 4.50/12, a small clove of garlic was 2.00, onions 2.00/pound. I counted six folding tables, one eggs only. The city is planning to provide a building to house the market. ...

Sprouts in Youkon. Brand new store, shrimp were really good, peaches were ok, corn went into the trash.
