Default Chiro info please
We have recently moved to Edmond and am having problems finding a Chiropractor that my family likes. My daughter has a hip/knee problem and we need one that can/will also adjust those areas. They also need to have modern equipment - not something that looks 20 years old ! I know alot of Chiros like to keep you coming back forever - but we are not into that either. Any one have a good recommendation?

You don't want to try PT? PT's don't try to have you coming back forever since they are on salary =)

Default Osteopathic Manipulation
I'm sure you are aware that chiropractors do not attend medical school and are not medical doctors.

Have you considered seeing a D.O.? A D.O. is a physician that attended medical school just as a M.D. has with the exception a D.O. has received additional training in osteopathic manipulation. Oklahoma State University medical school is a D.O. training facility, so you shouldn't have a problem locating one.

DO's are good, but I have been to some chiropractors that have done a LOT of good. My primary Dr. is a D.O. and you are correct in that they have additional training in osteopathic manipulation. They are, however, more expensive than a chiropractor. If you find a good chiro they are worth their weight in gold.
