It's Devon. Devon will be the one paying for the construction.

Now now, lets not get carried away. I will vote in the poll and allow OKC to build this one taller than those in Tulsa. (its about time you all had the tallest, been an embarassment for so long that you didnt have it ;-P ) But dont go getting too all full of yourselves and build any more. Your just allowed to have this one. We will still have the second tallest, third tallest, fourth tallest, fifth tallest.. ;-)

It won't be long before there will be a few more built. I could see another office building, a highrise residential, and a high rise hotel going in all over 40 stories.

I voted undecided, because I'm undecided. The project sounds promising, although I'd rather see existing office space snatched up before more skyscrapers are built [esp. in this economic environment]. Or, maybe just buy a whole, vacant skyscraper [which we know Devon can afford ]. If the project goes through successfully, I will of course be happy for the city, and hopefully a lot of the construction jobs etc. go to the locals.

Well I dont think Downtown OKC should build a new skyscraper. Its not the place of some downtown organization, I am guessing its taxpayer supported?, to be in the business of building skyscrapers. Thats just odd.

Tim, there aren't any vacant skyscrapers in OKC. Devon has filled all of the vacant Class A and B office space in OKC. Their goal is to combine all of their employees into one building instead of having them scattered all over downtown. They will run out of room, so they are solving the problem by building a worldclass skyscraper.

Who will be filling those multiple office buildings once Devon vacates? Honest question.
