OKC is still FAT
Men's Fitness Magazine listed the top 10 FATTEST cities. Yup, OKC is number #2 (sigh), despite Mayor Cornett's efforts to encourage everyone to lose some pounds and get healthy. Miami Is Fattest US City, Magazine Finds.

Amazonchix, it takes several years to a decade to thwart those kind of statistics. We're talking about a city with almost 600,000 people. Smaller cities like Edmond, or even smaller... Nichols Hills... will take no time changing.

Oklahoma will always be fat. It's just a way of life. Kind of like Chicago, it will always be known as the most corrupt city in the USA. It will never change.

I will always eat my deep fried everything! Even if it kills me (which it might)!

Okla.City seems to have more fast food places than anywhere in the world. It is a test city for just about everyone, sonic, wendys, carl jr's, just to name a few. Plenty of deep fried everything!

But Southern food is the best!
But really, I encourage everyone to live a healthy life. Eat what you want but put some time aside everyday or even 3 or 4 times a week to do some kind of physical activity. And encourage those around you to excercise. I don't really care for being one the fattest states. It's not a thing to gloat about whatsoever.

I dont like being the fattest state either. Its great that both Tulsa and OKC realize that there is a problem and want to do something about it.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who doesn't like to be labeled as living in a FAT city.
Obesity effects everyone's medical insurance costs, also is correlated to mental health issues (depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, isolation type issues) and obese people use more gas in their cars (bad carbon foot print) Global Warming Trends: Obesity Causes Global Warming
It's not like you can't have the occasional fried food or that yummy piece of pecan pie...just be able to balance food choices with exercise. People need to eliminate the word diet from their vocabulary and just make healthy life style changes.
