They say it could trigger a .7 magnitude earth quake and it would affect the neighboring cities and also states.
But what makes things change is that is right next to a major natural gas pipeline.

News 9 was talking about it this morning and should rebroadcast it later on today. There wasnt a time frame on the fault line.

A truck driving by your house would cause more of an "earthquake" than that lol.

FA probably meant to say that it was a 7.0.

A 0.7 would probably never be felt and Oklahoma has had earthquakes nearing 5.0 before so 0.7 wouldn't be a big deal.

Get out while you can nightbird, and take those earthquakes with you!!!!

BTW, a 7.0 would DEFINITELY be felt, big time. Let's hope that this is pure speculation because I don't think the buildings in Tulsa or OkC are built to withstand much of an earthquake, let alone a 7 magnitude.

naw, I'll stick around. Lived in quake country all my life. They happen they happen....

I don't think anything here would be standing. Lot of buildings in cali, especially where they "grandfathered" the standards wouldn't/won't be either.

I just looked it up, and according to the various news stories, the states - other than Arkansas itself - that would be most affected would be Tennessee and Mississippi. Not a word about OK and points west.
