This looks like a good place. You get electric and water, plus other amenities such as a community center for washing/drying your clothes and such for $300 a month. Not bad! It's in Kingfisher, but still well within commutable distance to OkC.

Hey, Syn, how would you commute to OKC from Kingfisher? I know you're used to a lot of traffic in DFW, but we have our highways to avoid here too.

I'd drive my little truck every day Colleen. Traffic in OkC is a cakewalk to anything we have here in DFW, believe me. It's horrendous. 6.5 million people crammed into a metropolitan area the size of OkC is just wrong...

Thanks, I'll check into that. The one in Kingfisher seems to be pretty nice, and affordable. However, I will be shopping around.

Hey Synopsis, I am so glad to hear this. I hope everything works out for you! I have been thinking about heading out to Austin. If we hit 7 million in the next year or two, I am out of here...lol. Although at the rate Austin is growing I am not sure it would be a huge improvement. I guess I am lucky because I can do my job from anywhere.
I will watch for confirmation that you got the position! And good luck to your child too!

Thanks sparkman. Yes, it is getting way too crowded around here. The amenities are nice, the streets are in excellent shape, and the people are nice as well. But, there's just too many of 'em!!
Good luck in your move to Austin. I'll keep everyone posted on whether or not I get the job.

To live there would be $550 a month!
The place in Kingfisher is $300 a month, which is like $65 a week. Gas to and from OkC for my little tacoma wouldn't be that much.
I have to admit though; that place you provided is nice redbird.
I just returned from checking out a Jay Feather travel trailer. For 15K, you get a 26 footer that has all of the amenities of home and more.
Surround sound stereo system, microwave, refrigerator, 19 inch HDTV, electric retractable awning, central heat and air conditioning, a shower, tub, full hookups for water and electricity (30 amp), closet space, and more.
This one was on sale and regularly goes for 23K. It's a good time to buy something like this.

The job in OkC was a farce. I'll be moving elsewhere it seems. Thanks for all of the encouragement folks.
