And by the way I'm Christian and I like Oklahoma's Christian influence. I just think most need to open their minds more and stop judging everyone instantly but that goes for anyone. Also OKC is very progressive but conservative, proof that both can peacefully coincide together and accomplish something.

How so? It's been awhile since I've lived in OKC, but before I left 3 or 4 years ago I definitely would not have labeled OKC as progressive.

OKC has proven to be very progressive by passing many taxes for the overall improvement in lifestyle. This takes liberal thinking on behalf of its citizens.
On another note...I actually live here and I have never been approached by any religious zealots.

No, it would be arrogant to think that the non-Christian's own faith/belief is somehow inferior to Christianity.

The citizens have been taxing the crap outta themselves for city wide projects. Ford Center renovations is the last major one. And then MAPS, etc. And then look at all the developments that are going on in the downtown area, residential units going up on every corner. Things like that

Precisely. But would you label it "liberal thinking" exactly? I think it's the plain fact that the people of the city wanted to improve many aspects of OKC and wanted to do something about it. I wouldn't label any kind of political thinking that went into this, take the Ford Center renovations for example, people wanted it, thought it was a necessity and did it, they saw nothing else in it but that exactly. And with Mayor Mick being the brain behind most of it... Idk.

I concur. It's not liberal or conservative thinking. We seriously need to get away from that. It's progressive thinking. It's citizens taking risks, getting creative about Oklahoma City and making things happen.

I am assuming you lived in the neighborhood of S.E. 23rd and Eastern and never left the area until you moved.

Liberals use taxes to spend on services that are needed. The Ford tax/maps etc. is a service/plan for the citizens which was needed to push OKC forward. So it is liberal and progressive. IMO

Is anyone here older than their mid twenties?
You sound like a bunch of aging high school kids
trying to impress each other.
I have lived in Ok., Ks., Mo., etc. etc.etc.
I lived next to a born again for 15 years.
I worked for and hung around Mormons 5 years.
In all this time and all these places NOTHING
like this has happened to me.
Oh, I forgot to mention .......
I think religion is fiction.
These are good people mostly.
Not the stupid, primitive, superstitious
cultists you need them to be.

Oh, yeah. And glad of it. I don't think I could survive doing that again!
