Default New to OK and love it!

Wondering if there is an Italian American social group in or around OKC. I am a second-generation Italian married to a multi-generation WASP
We just moved from TX to a small town about 60 miles West of OKC. I've lived in several states and find Oklahomans to be most friendly, and very welcoming. We love it here but live in a rural community.... We are always ready to travel, have fun and make new friends.

I am not sure about the Italian Community in Western Oklahoma, but you might try going to Krebs, OK. It is a small town next to McAlester that was settled by Italians. I am sure they will know. There are a lot of Italians in McAlester too.

Thanks much, Lasomeday, that sounds like it would be a good starting place. I hear there are some good Italian restaurants there too.

Yes, McAlester has quite an Italian community. The Italian festival there (in May I believe) is supposed to be quite good. I intended to go last year but never made it.

Italian Festival of McAlester, Oklahoma - Welcome!

McAlester Italian Festival

Their websites are rather bare bones and don't appear to be maintained very well though.
