I can understand the confusion. I'm from Oklahoma but I live (and have lived in DFW for 20 years).
I identify with Oklahoma, however. I still love Texas as well. Fort Worth is one GREAT city.

Maybe you should read the lyrics to Oklahoma Breakdown. I get so tired of Texans' unearned arrogance all the time. Get off our forum if we are so beneath you.

Take it easy on them....not only do they have to support the Longhorns and Aggies, George W just raised their collective IQ into low double digits........

My only comment. On the train trip west the train takes over a day to get through Texas. Desert. A few hills. More desert. No cell phone reception. A few pretty places but I've seen them three times and will bring a book to read.
Doesn't take as long in Oklahoma but there are trees, rivers, greenery, open space that isn't desert and given the choice I'll take trees any day.
(and I have relatives on both sides in Texas too)

Ouch! You know, y'all not being very friendly to our Texan friend.
BTW, I went to Earl's Ribs in OKC Saturday, and they have tags from all over the country on their walls. Everyone of the Texas tags were turned upside down!! I, personally, would have liked to turn the NY tags upside down, but that's the Jersey girl in me!

Sorry, but honestly, it's not only bragging about their state all the time, it's also putting down our state in the process. And then, when you defend your state, it's like you don't have a sense of humor. It's just not that funny to me.

I did what I did knowing that most people on here are smart enough to take it for what it is...a joke. In all seriousness, Texas is the best, but I'm sure most Texans are happy to let some of their glory rub off on Oklahoma .

You're right. I'm too dumb to realize it was a joke. Also, Texas is the best. Yay Texas.
