Question Testing water in NE Oklahoma for free?

I am looking for any info on water testing for free, they put in new pipes a month or so ago and now my water is WHITE AND FOAMY. It stains my pots and pan and will kill a coffee pot in a month or less. Does anyone know where or who to contact for free water testing when asking the city they don't know, we are on a well that is a community well. Please help, we have small children and want to be sure that they are drinking safe water. Could the EPA help? Which water testing kit is the best? Any input would be great to many choices and I am not sure what I should be testing for. Thought that I would get 1 that tests for everything but cant find one. Thanks

I would contact the Oklahoma DEQ: Welcome to the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality

I don't know about free testing, but I am sure they could point you in the right direction.

Yes, that is where we sent our water. It is not free, but then it is worth any money spent to find out if your well water is contaminated. We only drink bottled water and only give the bottled water to our dogs.

I am sure they can live off the well water and they have, but the well water problems we have are self evident on our plants and on our water heater.

Our neighbors had to replace all their plumbing within 5 years of being on the well water. They wound up paying to have city water piped out to their place. Sad. Oklahoma rural water used to be something we loved when I was a kid.

Also, just noticed your zip code! You are not far from the Great Salt Plains Lake area? I would GUESS that your water is probably heavily mineralized, but if this just started after having your pipes replaced you should still contact the DEQ.
