Default Lasik...

I have a consultation on Friday with the Laser Center here in OKC. Does anyone have any pros or cons to say about them?? They seem very nice over the phone and their websites boasts that over 80% of their customers qualified for the lasik surgery.

I have been wearing glasses or contacts since the 6th grade. I am just darn sick of it. The cost of a REALLY good pair of glasses with all the fixings (i am so accident prone I have to have scratch resistant!), costs almost as much as one eye for lasik! My pair of glasses now would cost me $500 to replace!

It's probably not a bad idea. But think of lasik surgery as having to wearing glasses still, except you can't take them off. In other words, if you feel you can see better without glasses to do very close up work on something like jewelry, you may lose that close up vision after lasik surgery. But then going back to glasses when needed would be the solution to that problem, I suppose. Anyway, I'd bring that up, if I were you at your consultation.
