Revival? What revival? OK City is a dump. If you ask this bonafied Okie, OK City is just the worst place in America to live! I think many folks that are considering moving to OK City from out of state should realize that wherever they're coming from it's probably better than living in Oklahoma.

I think standard is going way too far, but many cities have examined OKCs turn around via MAPS. Tulsa would be a great example by trying to mimic OKCs every single move.

Oklahoma City isn't even close. Core to Shore won't do much if they don't plan it right. It is not that impressive.
I had a friend move to Portland from OKC and he says its terrible cause theres no jobs and unemployment is crazy high. It took him almost 5 months living there to find a job.

Job market and cost of living are not relevant when it comes to your original point about being the standard as a city IMO.

OKC, and Tulsa for that matter, are playing catch up in many respects. And dont forget, during the time we are improving and working toward our own goals, those other cities will have been improving and moving even further forward as well.

OKC and Tulsa are fine cities. Portland/Oregon's economy stinks. The major job sector in that state is transpotation. Living there in the summer is a pain!!! Throughout the whole state. You can't do road work in the PNW rain.
