Maybe I"m just thinking too way out of the box. but I want to hire a string quartet for a date. the kicker is this. I want to be involved in it. My gf always wants to hear me play the violin and I figured it would be awesome if she can hear me play with a string quartet.

Question:
1. where do I go to hire a string quartet.
2. is what I want even possible?
3. location to do this at?

I'm just throwing around some ideas.

I would check with the music department at OCU or one of the other colleges/universities around. Putting together an evening like that would be fairly simple, and students are always looking for additional income..........you could get them pretty cheap.

For the location, I would contact the restaurant you are thinking about having dinner at...even Furrs Cafeteria used to have piano or other instrumental playing on occasion. If you and the quartet are any good it might turn into a nice part time gig.....if you like it, and you are good, then someone else will like it.........and restaurateurs are first and foremost businessmen....if it adds to the bottom line they will go for it.....the first place that comes to mind is Carrabba's
