ATTN: Air Traffic controllers (Long: college, military, best)

I'm starting the process of studying for the initial ATC Exams and wanted to know which books you recommend I use to study. I've been looking on amazon.com but don't know which are better compared to others.

If you are talking about the ATSAT test, everyone leans towards the "green book". It's pretty much the only one anyone reccomends. Good luck! It's VERY tough to get chosen now. From what anyone can tell, it's pretty much luck of the draw. So start saying your prayers, knock on wood, cross your fingers and be prepared for one of the LONGEST waits of your life!!!

Congrats to your husband and a pm has been sent. I have heard it's tough to get in, they are desperate for controllers, college is a better route to get in, military is the best route, etc. I've talked to numerous controller about which route to take with mixed advice. I'm confident it will all work out in the end.
