Hi guys! I am from Alabama originally, but have lived in Oklahoma City for a couple of years. I still don't know too many people, which I understand is critical for finding jobs.

I am looking for entry level jobs, mostly like call center work. Anything except for convergys, or ACS/Xerox which I've already worked.

Does anyone know where they are hiring? Jobs where you can just walk in apply and get a job is what I'm looking for. Jobs similar to Convergys would be great!

Thanks. I look forward to your responses! I really want to work!!! I am open to anything at this point.

I believe so. I think their help center, or whatever its called, is here. I know I was filing an claim one time, and the person taking my info (not an adjustor, just someone taking down my info) was in here in their Quail Springs call center.

Hertz is hiring a lot of entry level jobs in their call center. It pays pretty well for entry level jobs too. Hertz Erp - Diverse job opportunities available at Hertz.

when I lived in oklahoma, early 90's, the only way to work was through one of them head hunter outfits where you were paid barely enough to live and was paid daily. are those kind of places still around down there and is there any way to actually get hired on to someplace without going through crooks like that? I mean I have good long term work history, it is not like I am going to work just long enough to buy my next bottle of booze.

You weren't doing it right. In the early 90s, in fact through all of the 90s, there were jobs on every street corner. This was especially true of call center jobs. All one had to do was walk in and apply.

If you can get sales and commission with your call center job, you can make some big bucks.

For awhile, it seemed as though OKC was the call center capital of the world.

You could take a 2 week CNA training class for free at osu-okc . The wages good for just 2 weeks of training. You can make probably up to like $10-14 an hr.
