Default IT market in OKC

Hey,

I plan on graduating with a bachelors in IT/Networking this comming December. I currently live in rural Arkansas and do not want to remain here and might possibly consider the OKC area.

Question is, how is the IT job market in the area? How easy will it be to find employment? I have taken into consideration that I will likely start at a lower position and work my way up due to my lack of experience and certifications (i live in a rural area, not much opportunity for internships, etc).

Thanks for any replies.

Look up computer related/IT networking jobs on the big job boards (monster, yahoo, hotjobs, etc). There's also the website Texas Tech Jobs - ComputerJobs.com (don't let the name fool ya, it covers more than Texas). You may not have your best chance at getting a job via those boards, but the number of positions that pop up will certainly give you an indicator of how the IT job market is faring in the OkC area. I know there are quite a few IT jobs in Tulsa, off of the tulsaworld newspaper career site, but not sure about OkC. Good luck!
