My son will be going first to the Francis Tuttle Voc Tech school for carpentry, and then the community college for some film classes (want him to be able to earn a living while he's living his dream ).
We're all set to move at the end of this month. Thanks again for your suggestions.

I move to Mustang TOMORROW! Glad to see you made a good choice, as I did~!
Yes, OCCC for their film/media studies is a good choice. Francis Tuttle has a good carpentry program, as does Metro Tech. I have to say that because I'm friends with both the instructors over there.

Well, you'll beat us there. DH flies in 2/26 because he starts his new job the 27th. The kids, myself and the dog fly in 3/2. I expect a "formal" welcome when we arrive in Mustang

I have yet another Where's The Best Place to Live in OKC question. My husband is likely to be relocating from Florida to OKC, but my daughter and I won't be coming along since it's likely to last only a year or two. So we're looking to rent, not purchase, and probably rent an apartment rather than a house, but we'll want something with at least 2 bedrooms for when our daughter and I come to visit. My husband is working at the OU medical center and I doubt he'd be interested in a very long commute. He likes a neighborhood with diversity, eating out, and music. I like a neighborhood with unusual shopping and dining, music and character. Our daughter, who's 12, looks for movies, books and cool clothes. We all want to find a place where my daughter and I won't be scared. We're a tri-racial family so we'd appreciate living where people won't look at us as if we're aliens. So . . . what's the perfect neighborhood for us?

There are many great neighborhoods. You might try the Paseo area. It has a lot of art galleries w/ unique shops and restaurants. Also Deep Deuce is developing into a nice little neighborhood with the Sage Market, Wedge Pizzeria, and Deep Deuce Grill.
