I'm very proud to be an Oklahoman. Now that I live out of state, there are so many things I miss. People have huge misconceptions about the place. I was on the phone with a guy from New York about a month ago, and it came around to the question of where I was from. When I told him Oklahoma he told me I didn't sound at all what he thought a person from Oklahoma would sound like. I had to tell him that not everyone has a thick southern accent (not that there's anything wrong with one!)........lol.

I voted for her on American Idol and will be stopping in her hometown of Checotah during my cross country trip this summer. I'll also be seeing her in concert in Baltimore in November! Checotah's website has her on there...

I was proud to be an Oklahoman.

Then I...
1) Was moved to Colorado where I finished growing up.
2) Formed political beliefs.

And I will never again call myself an Oklahoman.

I'm at OU now but will be at CU next year. Oklahoma used to be home but Colorado took my whole heart and I can't leave it.

But I will say that Oklahoma is one great state that I have spent 9 years (well, 10 now) of my life in and too many people look down on it. But it's not for me anymore.

Oklahoma is nothing but dust, flat plains, there are no trees, a terrible place if there ever was one!

Please pass the word....thanks!

The more people know about the true Oklahoma the better?

Born here....will die here.

In terms of the Panhandle, that is a true assessment.
