We teach some of our classes in Vinita at the Park Hills Motel and RV Park. I really enjoy being in Vinita from time to time .... it is a nice little town with quite a few social things going on.

I live in Vinita now and in responce to sbrook the school system is not a joke, they are suffering hard times but they are a top rated education facilitator. Thier scores are through the roof~!i moved here from California and would never raise my kids there. my husband was raised here and we have moved to stillwater then back here. Jobs are tight and the housing is hard to find but it is a small town, everyone knows everyone or thier family. we have sports here people so the kids only stay indoors watching tv and playing games if the parents let them..we have to get involved..As for the rudeness and staring when i came here from Ca i was so surprised at how people were so nice...a town is what u make of it...

I think Vinita is a nice town. Close to Grand Lakes, Joplin, Bella Vista and Tulsa. Sometimes when travelling to my parents home in Bella Vista, I'll take the scenic route through Vinita, Grand Lakes then into Mo before south to Bella Vista. It is pretty country.
