Thank you so much. That's a great website for OK and even provides many brochures I can expect to get in the mail before I leave for my OK Walk-About planned for Aug 16th thru 30th.

Green Country Oklahoma, Play Your Heart Out! You can order a travel brochure from there as well. Wikipedia (as always) has a pretty interesting site for Green Country, and there are always links to resources at the bottom of the article. Green Country (Oklahoma - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) Have a great trip! |

I am having not having much luck finding real estate agents willing to do much for me. I'd would SO appreciate any recommendations as well as those to avoid.

We have a home in Owasso and a lake house on Grand Lake in NE Oklahoma. When we were searching for lake property, we got very upset with the realtors around the lake who only wanted to show you their listings! I know what you mean.

It was so fun to see the places we've all been reading and writing about in this forum. I found my home in Tahlequah, which I found I had been mispronouncing for quite some time. Even all my real estate communications were by email so I wasn't corrected early enough to make the correct pronunciation easily.
I wrote a new and very long post about my trip. I hope it helps others. I'm so in need of green and water that I probably have a much different perspective than lots of folks coming from places other than the desert. I got the home, the price, the acreage, near the water and all near my favorite town in the area, Tahlequah. It's the only city of interest that showed up in my 2 year research that met my expectations let alone exceeded them. Whodda ever thunk Oklahoma?!! I'm getting very funny reactions to my choice of new home state to say the least. Like me, most people don't know that region in OK even exists. What a wonderful well kept secret. |

Hi, Where did you live before moving here? My friends in CA thought moving to OK was strange too. Actually one used to live in Tahlequah and misses it; another didn't think it so strange, but then some did.

I left Black Hills of SD when I was 18, spent about 7 years in Tampa, FL area by way of a short stay in Gillette, WY and have lived in Mesquite (borders NV, AZ and UT) and Las Vegas, NV as well as Hurricane, UT about 50 miles from of Mesquite for about 17 years now. I will be moved to Tahlequah before end of Sept.
