Ok cool. I know that is really convenient to have an expressway and not have to worry about traffic signals.

Well there are some traffic lights on Rogers Lane. Lights are at the 1-44 bridge intersection area, 38th street intersection, and 52nd street intersection. The end of Rodgers lane mergers on to Hwy 62 about a mile past 82nd street.

Now if the City leaders would have enough thought process to make an 4 lane road like Rodgers lane on the south side of town like Bishop Road.

I apologize for this being a little off topic but I am trying to locate someone who lived/worked in Lawton in the 1965-1967 time frame or longer. His name is Richard Holland. He was a TV repairman in a shop on Lee Blvd, I think. He had been in the Army possibly Ft Sill, before '66. His wife's name was Thelma, they were separated and possibly divorced in '67. He had a married sister living in Anadarko. Any help appreciated.

Thanks mucho. I knew it was a long shot going in. This may not be the wisest thing I have done lately. I was hoping that somebody would know somebody who knew something.

Not really, Rodgers lane has always need to be expanded out to allow for traffic since it is on the border of Ft. Sill.
Once it was made into the 4 lane Road, The State changed the designation of Hwy 62 from Cache Rd to Rodgers Lane. This was done to try and keep the truckers from going thru town on Cache Rd.

Ft. Sill population has increased by probably 12,000 or more over the last few years due to the Air Defense Artillery School moving here from Ft. Bliss Texas.

Cool. That artillery school sounds like a big boon to the local economy. With the all the extra people in the area is traffic an issue or is it still pretty easy to get around?
