My husband has COPD and has trouble breathing but seems determined to move to Poteau.Says will have same problem throughout the south and does not want to live in desert.Does need to be within one hour to VA and wants mountains,Poteau seems to fit.Is there anyplace else that has mountains and is within one hour of OKC,Muskogee or Fayetteville? I remember air conditioning is a must in the summer, even if you have great lungs.

Tahleaquah is a nice town and is only 30 to 45 minutes from the VA in Muskogee. But we are more in the foothills.
