Give me a few days and I may have something to report. I want to take a trip to see the area and to go back to Chouteau to the Amish Cheesehouse. I just have a lot going on this week, but maybe I can squeeze it in. I also want to see downtown Chouteau.

Yum! Amish Cheesehouse sounds good! I am wondering about shopping and resturants? Do you have to go to Tulsa for that? I saw there is a walmart but it didn't say super walmart.

Pryor is very close to Tulsa, Claremore, and Owasso. You could live right on Lake Hudson if you like the water. Pryor is small town, but growing and they have a LOT of new industry coming in....Google and Coke to name the 2 newest. The housing market is very affordable and you can choose from new or older established neighborhoods. Kind regards, Deborah

The Amish Cheesehouse is very good. They serve Boarshead meats and they make their own cheeses. They have several different flavors of fudge that they make there as well. They serve pies and cakes by the slice or whole. YUM it makes me hungry!
The Dutch Pantry is also excellent. It is served buffet style and is fresh produce, meat and poultry from the area. There is nothing like fresh, farm raised meat, especially chicken. Their deserts are wonderful too.
There are also Amish furniture factories there where you can buy beautiful heirlooms.
The WalMart is a NEW SUPER center and there are lots of restaurants and shopping. You are closer to Claremore and Owasso for shopping outside of Pryor. I live in Owasso and there really is no need to go to Tulsa anymore, there is so much growth in Owasso. There are new housing additions and established ones too...both in Pryor, Claremore and Owasso. There is a nice regional hospital in Claremore and 2 new major hospitals in Owasso.
I could go on and on cause I'm born and raised here. So ask and I'll try to answer.

Diramon, thanks so much for the information! We are very interested in the area! We like that is close to LA where I am from and MO where we have best friends. But, he hasn't heard anything from the job yet! URG!
