I wonder which is safer, going to the restaurant and guzzling down your fill of beer or buying it at the grocery and taking it home to drink. For sure, there are those dullards that will drink and drive, but by drinking in a restaurant (if you are alone), you are sure to drink and drive.

I'm curious writerathome, is there anything that you LIKE about Oklahoma? Your opinions are certainly welcome but I see very little that you like about the state. I know if I were as unhappy with a place as much as you I would move as soon as possible.

Thumbs up que the twilight zone music...

I wish they would place HRHL2's post on little signs along the interstates (ala Burma Shave Cream signs)... maybe it will keep our state underpopulated and beautiful!

I have to laugh at her post !!!
We have a very "distant" relative who lives in Casper, WY and I swear she goes on and on about how horrible Oklahoma is. We laugh like crazy, because everything she says is half-true ! But we love it here and we hope negative people like her NEVER move here. Oklahoma is not for everyone.

I was born and raised in SE Los Angeles, where we had 85 degrees and sunshine, the beach, the mountains and all the sex, drugs, and rock and roll you could handle. But you know what? I had my fill and got sick of it.

If you read HRHL2's other posts (she signed up today), every single post is something negative. Opinions are welcome, but if someone joins up to CD to trash places and offer nothing constructive, they are trolling to inflame.

Default The WORST 5 things about Oklahoma

Hmm, here is a picture of the worst sunset on planet earth. Taken a few days ago in Ada, Oklahoma. You know, that boring uncouth cow town with the crazy corner?

This picture epitomizes the 5 worst things in Oklahoma. A clear horizon *(meaning no fun), clear sky (no smog), where soon to be seen will be beautiful stars (not at all visible in civilized cities like NY, Chicago, etc,), and um..., well, you get the picture.

Maybe the other okies can point out the 5 hidden worst things in this pic.

Redbird, I am so jealous! I would give nearly anything to live in the country. We can't afford to right now (Yukon-Mustang area) but we may just have to move to a smaller area so we can.

Jess5, the land is very cheap out here. And there are a lot of trailers out in the country. I never realized how many people opt for a trailer, and simply add on to it.

Our neighbors bought 10 acres at approximately $1100/acre and put a double wide on it. That's still a much smaller investment than a home in Yukon-Mustang.

I like trailer houses in Oklahoma. It keeps the storm clean-up crews busy and provides perpetual jobs. My cousin said his would withstand an F3 tornado because of all the concrete anchors he used. He was right. After the tornado all the concrete anchors were still there.

My most favorite thing about Oklahoma is Okra. Deep fried of course.

Thanks for the info Redbird. I am scared to death of mobile homes tho. We have talked about moving into one till we built a house ourselves. We've been in many tornadoes, thats why I'm scared of them. You say you are around Ada? Its growing like crazy here, and the draw to this area in the first place were the schools, now Mustang schools have gone way down. Very overcrowded.
