Default cluck! cluck! cluck!

Its funny how chicken and even ducks can attach themselves to humans like mascots or pets. My Mom had a "Banny Hen" by the name of Gertrude the use to follow her all over the farm. And she was the only Banny that he had amongst all the "White-Rocks". When Mom would walk outside by her self that little hen would come a runnin and when she would sit down the hen would parck its self on her lap everytime, just sitting there clucking ever so gently as Mom pet it. Auh, those were the days, unlike this rat-race we live in today.

Good lookin little friend ya got there CG.

My wife always wanted chickens, but but i wasn't much into it...
I don't think I'd like them in a coop, but free range chickens are cool.

The one in that photo visits me when I have coffee and read the forum and DMs on the patio at GP's place.

The thing sits there and talks at me.

Yesterday the geese attacked her, so I had to give them a good boot and chase them off.

They won't mess with Chatty Cathy again anytime soon.

Where did you grow up Seab?

Also... How's BJB doing?

Chickens are easier and cheaper to maintain....
Don't think they'd appreciate being ridden though...
But they DO have a few redeeming values....
They provide fresh eggs, they eat LOTS of bugs,
and if they misbehave, they even make a decent dinner.

And yes, Chatty Cathy DOES talk to me,
I have witnesses to prove it.

Not sure what she's saying, but it's probably
something along the line of "Put that coffee down, shut off that computer and get out here with the chicken feed!

Been a day, I'm going to bed....

Good night folks.
