Red face Send me back, Please?!

Your right about that CG,

When I was stationed at Ft. Sill back in the late 70's I spent most if not all of my off time out in the country or at as many Native American Pow-Wow's as I could find. I got to love the people and the NA culture so much that I regretted ever having to leave. But the Army saw fit to send to another place that had just as intriguing culture as our own NA Indians, "Hawaii" for three years . And while there I took a deep interest in their Polynesian culture as I did in the cultures of Oklahoma. But Oklahoma has always been in the back of my thoughts for many years. The only reason I didn't go back after I got out of the Army was that both of my parents were still alive and I couldn't leave them to the mercy of my siblings . So now that Mom and Dad are both gone its time for me to reestablish my roots back out west where I belong. I've gotten to the point where I hate everything about Ohio " the people, traffic, taxes, crime, laws, pollution ". I can keep going with this you know . But most of all I think its the people here in Ohio that I dislike the most, no one knows how to stop a just look around at Mother Nature and all that she has to offer. Or, just stop at a freinds house, sit on the porch and just talk and not about stupid sports either. Everyone is in a mad rush to go nowhere or they don't take time for themselves because they're trying to push their kids into every sport or program that comes along. As a child I remember just sitting under the big maple tree in our front yard with my Dad and looking at the clouds or just talking .

I guess I was brought up with the idea like the Beverly Hillbilly's, "come on in, take your shoes off, sit a spell, ya'all come back now, ya hear ". Heck these days, it seems that I have to make an appointment to stop and say "Hi" to my own kin. And the day that I have to make an appointment is the day that I "STOP" going to see them.

I don't know how the fly fishing is out in Oklahoma, but I plan on learning how too do it. I'm not much of a hunter, but I do believe in hunting to feed the family and not for sport "i.e Trophy Hunting". I love to hear the birds and other aminals move arond in the woods. But most of all, I enjoy doing all this with my Bjb123.

So yes, I did enjoy my time out in Oklahoma .

Hey folks. I hate to be a party pooper, but this is a pictures forum and it has veered totally away from pictures and has turned into a discussion. I'm probably as guilty as the rest of you, but let's try and only post pictures here. Okie dokie?

I hope Tex and Peggy will forgive me for this post....
(Now that I have my REAL machine back, I'll be posting pictures of the trip soon.)

I hear you Seab!

Of all the states we passed through, we liked OH the least.
I can understand why you want to get out of there.

Back in NH, I worked for a music producer from OH....
She was constantly telling me how great OH was,
and how friendly the people were...

I didn't find that to be the case.
