If you've never seen a snowfall, you're in for a treat!
I haven't gone through an entire winter here, but I understand OK doesn't get a whole lot of snow, but you can get the occasional good snowfall. I'ts hard to imagine someone who doesn't know what snow is, but I guess if you've lived all your life in a warm climate, snow would be a big question mark. You've come to the right place for answers, though.

To elaborate, getting freezing rain compared to snow or rain has very little to do with the temperature at the ground. It's all about the temps higher in the atmosphere and the thickness of those temperatures. The air at the top of the atmosphere could be below freezing, as well as at ground level. But, if in between it's above 32 for a long enough distance the snow will turn into rain and then freeze on contact when it hits the ground. If the level of air above 32 is thin then the rain will freeze into frozen pellets before it hits the ground. The air above ground has to be below 32 all the way up for snow to occur. But, it can be above 32 right at ground level and the snow won't have time to turn to rain before hitting the ground.

No, I simply don't care for Stoops. I like JoePa much bettter. But I have great respect for the OU football program. You have to respect his football program, it's top notch.
An analogy is I never liked Roy Williams when he coached KU (University of Kansas) basketball, but I have always like KU's basketball program. I know, doesn't make sense. It's just one of those things. Can't really explain it.
I liked the old Dallas Cowboys coach, Tom Landry, but never EVER liked the team.
