What a nice downtown Duncan has. Everything looks so clean, and the buildings all look occupied. Duncan looks like a great place to live, or go on an antiquing trip. Thanks, Lady Robyn.

Thank You LadyRobin

Her comes another slide show.

Yes Duncan is kept very clean. It puts Ca. to shame.

I just received an email from a family in Banning, Ca. who have bought a house here and plan on opening a coffee shop there on Main St.

Pick me up on your way to Duncan Peggy, and we will go antiquing. Better than sitting in a forest looking for bigfoot.

I want to go through every town in Ok and rip off those new store fronts (stuff on top of store front) like in photo 6. why did they ever do that? I wish i could do it here in Tahlequah too. Under those ugly store fronts is brick, beautiful brick.

What nice pics!!!! I love those sidewalks in some of the pics. Robyn, you and I must be in a "picture" frame of mind today. I just scanned and uploaded pics and posted a couple of new ones in my state forum today. And of course, I had to email some.

Duncan reminds me of my grandparents town in Iowa, and that's not a good thing Whatever, I'm young. I'm going to go sketching with my friends tonight just cause it's fun or at least it is at my age For you "ancient" people that's hanging onto the back of vehicles while riding a skateboard or something of the like. While going 5mph, mind you.

Cool pictures LadyRobyn, as always. Like Jammie, I love the pictures. I haven't been to Duncan since my Grandmother died when I was a kid. She lived in Duncan for most of her life until she passed away. I always remember her home was so nice, clean, and well-maintained inside and out.

Hmmmf!! This 'ancient' person not only KNOWS what it is, she knows you spelled Skitching wrong! Oh and Duncan has a skate park too. (yeah I know that's boring!) Our youngest kid is 20 and our oldest grandkid is 13...

jessaka, Are you talking about the one with a "wood front" and the black top?? That is a Lawyer's Office! I always wonder of they did that to match their furniture.

Jammie, I'll go peek at yours soon. I don't email many back to CA anymore... most of the family got tired of our "Hometown Pride" the first year we got here.

Peggy you and jessaka should come!! It's a fun way to spend an afternoon, we've done it a few times now. Sometimes we'll catch an early matinee and then wander through the shops... kinda hard to catch a meal though, most of the places right on Main are only open on the weekdays during lunchtime.

MK, Great! we could use a nice little coffee shop down there... as long as they don't serve that weird Cali stuff. (Like the Merchant Eatery.. have you SEEN their menu??)

Synopsis, If you can remember where her house was (and you would like) you could DM me the location and I can see if it's still there. A lot of the older homes in town are still standing and well maintained.

When you say "sketching" is that the same as graffiting?

Just a few more pics... Along the edge of HWY 81 is a slender little park named Memorial Park... it has a statue of Erle P. Halliburton and most people just refer to the park as "Erle P"

Across the intersection on Beech is Fuqua Park. The rides are closed for the season so it looks a little sad right now... But it has a Merry-go-round, and a few other rides, as well as a nice sized playground for the Kiddies. Fuqua is also where The Stephens County Museum is located.
