Great pictures, Nameless. The colors are not so good this year, but in OKC the other day I thought your colors are better than ours.

Nameless, Great pics! (says I need to spread more rep around... *sigh*)

Your area looks pretty similar to ours. I should go out and snap a few more pics today, but the wind is pretty stout down here right now and I don't think I have enough rocks for my pockets!

Yes, we seem to be going from green to nothing this year. A week ago today I was coming back from Tulsa and at the I-35/Kilpatrick junction there were some very vibrant colors. Give it two weeks and we'll have nothing.

Nice pics, Nameless. Yes, isn't it sad that things are so beautiful and alive and then they die off every autumn?

It wouldn't be so sad if we had a nice transition period around here. I still don't think we've really hit fall weather yet, IMO. We're supposed to get 40's, maybe even 30's with rain and or mix or thanksgiving break. Then I will say we've hit fall.

I love watching the leaves change and fall. I think it is wonderful, but this year wasn't so beautiful. What I don't like is having my plants die until summer.

It really didn't pan out this year in Oklahoma because of the extended heat that lasted much longer than normal. To really turn, the leaves need the right mix of cool, sunny temperatures at the right time, and it was too warm this year. It's been much warmer down here, but the leaves are just starting to turn , so I'm hoping we'll get a decent display.

I think you're right Synopsis. Our fall has been too mild this year.

HMMMM~not sure, but I THINK they were seagulls. We were so surprised to see the types of birds there that we saw. They had the Pelican Festival just the week before we were there, but they hadn't all migrated yet so we saw a lot of them too.

I don't know if it's as much the Lake that is so appealing. It is nice, but we just thought the little town of Grove and the whole surroundings was so neat. I think we have a few more OK pics and as soon as I find them, I'll post them here. Actually, we have several, but we're in them and I'd rather just have scenery pics and keep a bit of anonymity.

Synopsis, how do you post pics that you find like from Flickr? I tried to upload some pics from Keystone and Deadwood last night and didn't have any success.
You guys are awesome, but i think seagulls live near the sea.

Gulls of all types live inland as well as near the sea. They typically live near lakes or any body of water.
