Here are some pics I took a couple of weeks ago around Wetumka Lake.
It has golf
Ducks
This guy thinks he is tough
Good fishing spot
Fishing dock
Green fees seem reasonable
This old house must have been here when they built the lake
On to Lake Weleetka. This was such a beautiful slow drive, and fun for motorcycles. It runs between Highway 9 and Highway 75. I need to get some more pics of the scenes on the way.
Looks like the local teenagers have been working on this sign.
A real pretty, small lake
It has a nice shelter so you can stop and have a picnic
That's all, folks

Over the river and through the Arbuckles, to sister's house we go! It was overcast the whole time and I didn't compensate with my camera so some of these are quite dark.
I think this is coming into Sasakwa.
Continuing on to Wewoka.
Pauls Valley (I think). I got lost on the way there. Can you believe it?
At my sister's house. I was surprised to see everything all dead this early. We haven't even peaked in our colors down here yet, and my lawn is still green in Fort Worth.
Whatcha lookin at Willis!
I forgot both of these dogs names. They were so friendly. The girl dog on the left has only three legs. My brother in-law rescued her off the highway and took her to the vet 8 years ago. She's a beauty and gets around quite well.
She's looking in at me through the front door. She is so pretty.
Oliver. This guy is so smart and his fur is as soft as can be.
Well, that's all for now. It was too dark to take pics on the way back. I hope you enjoy!

Peggy, those pics of Wetumka lake are BEATIFUL. Really great shots. I have never been there (to the lake itself) but it's very pretty.

Peggy and Synopsis, what nice pics!!!! I love the geese and the dogs. Yea, I love animals.
Something that caught my attention was the "Honor System" for paying for golfing. That reminded me of the little gardens by Grove. They had the same thing. You don't see things like that in most of the country anymore. It says a lot.

Synopsis, how did you end up in Pauls Valley from Sasakwa? I know the feeling though. I have driven into a town and gone, uh-oh, this is not on my way. Great pictures though. Your sister has a pretty place, and nice doggies.
Well, Jammie, if you look again at the next pic after the honor system sign you see that a cop lives in the ranger house, so I would go ahead and pay. Just kidding, I have seen a lot of honor system boxes, and most people will pay.

Actually, it was Pauls Valley first Peggy. I went from Pauls Valley, to Paoli, through Rosedale, Byars, and then Asher. Through Konowa, and then to Sasakwa before finally getting to Wewoka. And the road that I took from Konowa to get to 377 before heading on to Sasakwa was a backroad instead of hwy 39.
It was the most convoluted route I could have possibly taken. I should've just gone up through Ada like I always have, but I thought it would save time. Instead, it added over an hour and one-half to the trip there..
Needless to say, we came back through Ada on the way back and made the trip in just over three hours, instead of the 4 1/2 it took to get there..
