Oh, what a cute puppy!!! He looks so happy and alert. Did you bring him with you from Cali and if so, what did he think about the first snowfall there? You're right~that looks like a "dusting" to me.

Glad you're back and all set with your new computer and dsl. They have laid fibro-optic line here and about a year ago, we were tempted to switch, but we've had such good luck with our dsl that we're just not sure if that'd be a wise choice.

We brought her from CA, and she didn't seem to think anything when she went out in the snow. I wanted a reaction of some sort. But she loves eating the snow and running in it. Now you can see that we get so little here that you may like it here instead of Florida.

Just wanted to tell you all that these are great pictures! I love OK. it has so many different types of areas. One of my favorites to go to is Waynoka, love riding in the sand.

Growing up in Kansas, and as I got older always loved driving in OK. I will have to see if I can find the pictures from down around Lawton where my grandmother lived.

Love seeing the pictures.

Default Just beautiful

Synopsis, those pics are so pretty. The pics with all the red leaves on the ground is beautiful. Unfortunately, we missed the turning colors by about two weeks. But that's ok cause I like it when they're green. It means summer is still here.

You have "Gloss Mountains" as a description and below that are small mountains that looks like they're very colorful. Where is that? It looks a lot like the Badlands. AND where is Natural Falls State Park? I love waterfalls and cascades. It looks beautiful there.

Of course, from what the pics have looked like now and in the past, the Arbuckles are pretty hard to beat for beauty. So glad you shared these with us. But alas, "must spread rep around....."

Hi Jammie,

Thanks. The Gloss Mountains are in the Northwestern part of the state.

It's funny, they are known as Gloss and Glass Mountains. Of course, they're not really mountains at all; they are bluffs of about 200 ft in height.

Natural Falls State Park is in the eastern part of the state.

Thank you. What a great idea to post it that way. I never thought of that.

You know, most of the pics are SO nice, but the waterfall and also the pic with a stream rolling over the rocks look like some artwork I've seen. Who knows~Maybe they got their idea there.

Default Ice storm pictures

Let's hope we don't have ice this winter.

I don't let this birdfeeder get filled up anymore, because of the cats.

I made this photo larger so you can see the pine trees all bent over by the ice. They are fine now.

We were not in the severely damaged areas like McAlester. We didn't even lose power, but we had plenty of wood in the stove ready, plus candles, flashlights, water, etc. just in case. Our area was badly damaged in 2001. Ice stay away!
