Cats will take care of gophers better than anything. We had several cats growing up, and nary a gopher mound to be seen. As soon as we moved out and the cats with us, we visited the old property regularly (as we still owned it). Gopher mounds were popping up everywhere.

They sure are an interesting looking creature, aren't they?

Or is it a mole that I'm thinking about?

Which one of the above are what infests lawns? I never saw one as the cats got to them and disposed of them entirely before I ever saw one.

Gophers are actually cute and look a little like beavers.

Talking Our little house keepers, Yea Right!

But we do love them. These pics of our babies were taken by my best half Bjb123. And our furry little babies are not posing, they're just lazy. Skeeter is the oldest, then Sam the black and white, then comes Harley noted for his yellow color and big mouth.

Both moles and gophers infest the lawns and pastures, Synopsis. I don't mind the moles so much. Our cats do keep them cleared out in a certain area that they patrol.

Cute pics, mk. I like the cat burglar.

Beautiful cats, SeabeeBolt. I have a cat that looks a lot like Sam.

We went riding around the other day before the snow, and went to Atwood, Gerty, and Calvin. (Big expedition )

South of Hooterville, we had to stop at Lake Holdenville to watch the waves roll by.

Those are a lot of whitecaps.

Getting in to Atwood.

Atwood industry.

Neighborhood scenes.

I think this is the fire station and community center.

This looks like a church.

I like these yard ornaments.

They have a huge rock in their yard.

Gerty tomorrow.

I can't wait to see the Gerty pics. That house in the first picture, the one with the heavily sloping roof? My dad was asked to roof that house once; it was the only job he ever turned down..

I would hate to get up on that roof, Synopsis. I would think you would have to stay on your ladder at all times. What a pain.

Still uploading my pics to Flickr. I wish I knew a faster way to do that!

Thanks PeggyD,

Sam's name is a acronym for "Spook And Maggie". Spook was my big black cat that I raised from a kitten and Maggie was my S/O's "Bjb123" Black Lab, both past away a few years ago and we miss them both baddly. When I found Sam as a kitten we were best buddies right off the bat .

Although I have to admit none of them are outside cats, but they are great at catching house flies .
