Yes, it is, it's a bird.

Looks like a Hawk or an Owl.

Looks like a hawk or an immature eagle.

OK, we are continuing the Gerty saga, but there is a chicken dinner in Calvin at 11:30 am to benefit the senior class, so I am short on time.

More old trucks.

You can let your dog run loose.

Nice doggie!

Here's a fixer upper.

I don't know what to say here.

The hamburgers cooking in here smelled so good, but we had already decided to go to Calvin.

Well worn cowpath.

Nice place east of Gerty.

I had a dog like this except he was white and part Pit Bull.
I named him "Lobo".
My wife wanted him, so we got him as a puppy. He was a nice dog but distructive.
When he got older, he went next door and stole a chicken. I tried to get it from he but what I got was my hand ripped wide open, 43 stitches.
In Ca. when a Dr. get's patients with injuries from dogs he has to report it to "Animal Control".
So he had to be "put down".

That's the Lacy's old house, at least it was for my years growing up. It is exactly the same type of house that I grew up in, which is no longer standing.

Thanks for the pics of my hometown peggy!

I know where this place is, it's on the curve, right about as you are about to exit Gerty going East towards Highway 75. Am I right?

That is right, Synopsis. We went out a little ways, then turned around to go on the ride past your mineral acres, where I didn't see anything going on by the way. I will post some pics of that beautiful country.

The gas station in the pic reminds me of the little station in the comedy "Corner Gas".

We hoped no one was in those johns-on-the-job when they were blown over. This is a completed well site east of Gerty.

Here's another fixer upper.

I thought this would be a beautiful place for a house. What a view you would have.

Driving through the hills.

This is in the ancient crosstimbers forest.

This bridge has a WPA look to it.

Up out of the valley. I'm no geologist, but this seems the most probable drilling site of the future. It is kind of close to the next section, so spacing is probably going to be an issue.

On the big road now, heading towards Calvin.

The RV park in Calvin is full. Calvin even had to open a laundromat for the oil field workers.

Our destination.

Community bulletin board.

Inside the cafe.

Two way community bulletin board.

Horntown.

And we made it home just before dark.

Here is the whole set, Synopsis.
