To the far left of this picture, across the street from the church is where the house used to sit where I grew up. It finally fell down or was torn down about 5 years ago.

Here's what the house looked like back in 1995. Taken from across the street in front of the church you see in the picture above. I'm glad I got a couple of pics before the old place fell apart. The porch is entirely gone in these pictures. It's hard to believe 13 years have passed since I took these pictures.

Taken from the road.

That sounds like fun to me. I have this preoccupation with food as well.

We don't own the property anymore, but I'd love to buy it back.

We will get Redbird to go as well.

It is good that you got those pictures before the place fell down. I know there are a lot of memories for you there.

That sounds great. Yes, it's hard to believe a little four room house could have so many good (great) memories. Everything about my childhood growing up there was good and I am grateful for that <tears>.

Gerty must be very small since even I've never heard of it. Then again Southeast OK is an area I don't know much about.

It's on highway 56 on the south side of Wewoka. My husband thinks it is the greatest place. He has been bringing take-out home about 3 times a week lately. I can't go there too often because they make these great fried japalenos that are too tempting for me to resist.
